I’ll be letting you know which new films are hittin’ theaters today in our Friday Flicks and at 7:40 I’ll be giving away the last pair of tickets to the Island Invasion Tour 2014, featuring an unplugged performance by Alien Ant Farm’s Dryden Mitchell and Terry Corso, happening on March 28th at Hawaiian Brian’s.
And if you were listening, earlier this week we saw where Hawaii ranks in UFO sightings. Well, Hawaii made it onto another list this week. This time it’s for selfies … those pictures that you take yourself using your smartphone. Always from the top angle … makes you look skinnier.
Time.com ranked 459 cities to determine the selfiest places on earth. The top slot went to Makati City in the Philippines. Mabuhay!
Honolulu came in at #15 with 83 selfies per 100,000 people. Makes sense, we have a beautiful climate… beautiful people… why not take photos of yourself. And as you heard earlier this morning, Friday is typically a big day for moviegoers since that’s when we see new films hit theaters, but there is one voice that we will no longer hear when we munch on our popcorn in the dark. Mr. Hal Douglas, a famous voice over artist, died yesterday at the age of 89. You probably don’t know his name or face, but you definitely know his voice.
I don’t know about you, but I’ll be definitely missing that voice. Mahalo and Aloha Mr. Douglas.
