It’s Thursday and you know what that means! A trip back in time. This morning we’re headed back to the 90’s … so make sure you keep reading and listen this morning for our conversation on this Throwback. Make sure you listen up at 7:20 for the Everclear Word of the Day for your chance to win a pair of tickets to the 3rd annual Rock Against Cancer benefit concert featuring Everclear! Then at 7:40 yet again I’m giving away another pair of passes to see “Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor” in 3D on Monday, November 25th, at 7:30 pm at Dole Cannery 18.
Now for that promised Throwback. In the 90s tweens were hooked on these little egg-shaped gadgets from Japan. Talking about Tamagotchis. These were little virtual pets.. You’d feed them, play with them. If you don’t they get sick and die… then you have to start all over. People were glued to these things and then the pager gained popularity and everyone started getting obsessed with pager language, like 143 means I love you, 823, meant thinking of you … and so people lost interest in these little virtual pets … and they all died.
Haven’t done this in a while. I like to share new job opportunities whenever they pop up since you never know when someone is looking for work. If you’re willing to make the move to New York and are willing to spend a lot of time in public restrooms, you can earn $100 a day for reviewing the facilities. That’s right, $100 a day to be a toilet reviewer. Not bad, right? I wonder if you have to actually sit down and use each one. That’s a lot of coffee and bran muffins. Read more [here] in case you missed it.
