Nov 11, 2013 -- 11:34pm

Less Than Jake and Counting Crows both have new albums out today. I’ll hit you with more details, along with new DVDs and BluRay in Spankin New Tuesday’s releases.  And at 7:40 this morning, I’m giving away a four pack of passes to the Hana Hou Picture Show Screening of “Big Trouble in Little China,” starring Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall. That’s going on, Wednesday, November 20th at 10 pm at Consolidated Ward Theatres.

Now … story of the day - what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Not necessarily. New wireless streetlights are being installed that can also play music, interact with pedestrians and are equipped with video screens, which can display police alerts, weather alerts and traffic information. The high tech lights can also stream live video of activity in the surrounding area. That all sounds great but the major concern is these new street lights are also capable of recording video and audio.

Personally, I’m not too worried. If they record me at a streetlightin Vegas, all they’re gonna hear is me crying about how much I lost in Blackjack.  For more on the story, click [here].
