Happy Veterans Day! To all those who have served and continue to do so, we salute YOU!
This morning we’ll talk about what happened in theaters this weekend. Thor vs. Bad Grandpa - Thor has that huge hammer but Bad Grandpa has a cooler collection of sweaters. Find out who came out on top in the KPOI Hotbox … then at 7:40, I’m giving away a four pack of passes to the Hana Hou Picture Show Screening of “Big Trouble in Little China,” starring Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall. That’s going on, Wednesday, November 20th at 10 pm at Consolidated Ward Theatres. Listen and win!
And have you ever dreamed about meeting your favorite celebrity? Thanks to a new company in San Francisco, that dream can turn into reality … if you’ve got the cash. IfOnly is the name of the company and offers activities with various celebrities. Here’s a few items on their menu:
A meet and greet with Shakira - $15,000
Lunch with Mike Tyson - $50,000
Personalized video message from Joe Montana - $1,450
Too rich for your blood? Let’s see what’s in their discount aisle… Meet Chris Cornell of Soundgarden for $850
Or have 3rd Eye Blind sign a guitar pick for you for just $30
I should contact this company… in case someone wants to have lunch with a local d-list celebrity, like a radio DJ. Read more [here] in case you missed it.
You know how much lunch costs with me? It’s whatever a Big Mac is going for these days - just the burger… not the whole meal.
