Don’t know about you but I’m definitely glad it’s Friday! Find out what movies are hitting the theaters today, in this morning’s Friday Flicks. And giving away the last of the passes to the screening of “Morrissey 25: Live” at Conslidated Ward Theatres on September 6th. That’s happening at 7:40 this morning.

And it is official … pop culture continues to infect our vocabulary, and the Oxford Dictionary’s latest new words for August, definitely proves it.
See if you’re familiar with some of these… maybe you can try to use them in conversation at your BBQ this weekend:
fauxhawk - a hairstyle in which a section of hair running from the front to the back of the head stands erect, intended to resemble a Mohican haircut (in which the sides of the head are shaved) - We can thank reality television for this one. Is it a law where at least one reality show contestant has to sport one of these?
twerk - dance to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low, squatting stance - For example: twerk it girl, work it girl
unlike - obviously this one was already in the dictionary but there’s a new definition being added:
withdraw one’s liking or approval of (a web page or posting on a social media website that one has previously liked):
For example: I cut about 300 of my 400 friends and unliked about 20-30 pages (funny how people like to brag about that kinda stuff)
